PATHOS Screening Test

The PATHOS is a brief screening tool developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes, a pioneer in sex addiction treatment. It is designed to identify common warning signs associated with compulsive sexual behavior or problematic pornography use.

Use the screening below as a first step. It is not a diagnosis, but it can help determine whether further evaluation or treatment with a trained professional may be beneficial.

These tools can help clarify severity, contributing factors, relationship impact, readiness for change, and treatment direction.

Recovery Zone Client Instructions

If an assessment has been assigned to you:

  1. Go to the Recovery Zone client login page.

  2. Enter Therapist / Practice Name: Peter Ruffini / Proven Path Counseling(or the name provided to you)

  3. Enter your assigned identifier.

  4. Click login.

  5. Your assigned assessment(s) will appear in the portal. Select Start Assessment to begin.
