Proven Path is built on a clear belief: therapy should be deliberate and effective. When treatment is structured, targeted, and grounded in proven methods, it addresses root causes rather than simply managing symptoms—and meaningful progress follows. This practice exists to provide a clear, results-driven path forward.

What Is Boutique Therapy?
Boutique therapy means you’ll work directly and exclusively with me—no hand-offs to associates, no assembly-line approach, and no rigid treatment models. I keep my caseload intentionally small so you receive focused, highly personalized care that actually moves you forward.
This approach allows:
A deeper connection and trust that build over time
Strategies tailored to your goals and adjusted as you grow
Flexibility in session structure when life or schedules change
Direct access to me for scheduling, billing, and feedback
Because I’m not constrained by corporate quotas or insurance demands, I’m able to prepare thoroughly, think strategically, and show up fully focused for every session.

Many men come to me after feeling stuck in previous therapy. Often the work stayed on the surface, repeated the same conversations, or avoided the harder patterns that actually needed to be confronted. In other cases, the clinician simply wasn’t trained to work at depth with issues like pornography and sex addiction, trauma, or chronic anxiety.
You can spend years in well-intentioned but unfocused therapy and never reach the root of what’s driving the cycle. Focused, specialized treatment is different. It is structured, direct, and designed to create forward movement instead of endless processing.
My role isn’t to “fix” you overnight. Change happens when you do the work. My job is to bring advanced training, clear direction, and the willingness to challenge what’s keeping you stuck so that your effort actually produces results.
This is not passive, open-ended talk. It’s targeted, evidence-based work aimed at the core patterns underneath the symptoms so you’re not in therapy forever or repeatedly.
For men dealing with sex and pornography addiction, when they commit to that process and follow through consistently, many are able to build and maintain lasting sexual sobriety.

Yes. In some cases, I offer therapy intensives for clients who want to do deeper, more focused work in a shorter period of time. Intensives may involve extended sessions or half-day or full-day formats, designed to build momentum and allow for concentrated work around specific issues—such as entrenched anxiety, trauma processing, pornography or sexual compulsivity, or major life transitions. They are not appropriate for every client and are offered selectively based on clinical fit, readiness, and goals. If an intensive format might be helpful for your situation, we can discuss whether it’s an appropriate option during a consultation.
-
Yes. While I’m best known for my work with men and boys, I also work with women. As a licensed clinical counselor, I can treat everything a generalist can—but with advanced, focused expertise in the areas where I’m most trusted. The same specialized, evidence-based methods apply—focused, effective, and tailored to each person’s goals.
-
No. My specialty is deep, one-on-one work with individuals. This focused approach often addresses the root issues affecting a relationship, making couples therapy unnecessary for many clients. When helpful, I can refer you to a trusted couples therapist, and in some cases, a spouse or partner may join a session by invitation.
-
No. My focus is on men, women, and teens who have the self-awareness and readiness for deeper, insight-driven work.
-
Not at all. I’m a dedicated, licensed clinical mental health counselor who offers faith integration only by request. While many of my clients are Christian, others come from different faiths or cultural backgrounds. I provide the same gold-standard, evidence-based, and ethical care to every client—your beliefs will never stand in the way of receiving expert, compassionate counseling.
-
Absolutely. Reseach shows it often does. And specifically in relation to sex and porn addiction, many men who consistently commit to the work of recovery are able to maintain long-term sobriety.

Therapy is an investment and a commitment. There are no overnight fixes..
Some men dealing with situational anxiety or grief may feel solid relief within several months. Deeper patterns rooted in trauma or sexual addiction typically require longer, more intensive work that can span a year or two. There is no one-size-fits-all timeline. Real change happens layer by layer, with progress, setbacks, and renewed momentum along the way.
There is a lot to uncover and rebuild, but the goal is not to keep you in therapy forever. As an independent clinician with a full practice, I’m not incentivized to stretch treatment out. The aim is focused, efficient work that helps you build stability, resolve what’s driving the struggle, and eventually move forward without needing ongoing therapy.

$200/session
Therapy is an investment that can change your life and relationships for years to come. In this field, the saying “you get what you pay for” holds true—specialized, focused work produces deeper and longer-lasting results.
While it may be tempting to look for the lowest rate, the truth is you can spend far more in the long run working with a generalist who isn’t equipped to treat the specific issues you’re facing. Specialized therapy saves time, frustration, and emotional cost by targeting the root of the problem so you’re not stuck in therapy that never gets to the heart of what’s really going on. Working with an expert helps you create real, lasting change—so you don’t have to keep coming back or therapist shopping for the same struggles year after year

No. Proven Path Counseling is an out-of-network, private-pay practice. Many clients choose this arrangement because it allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and depth of care.
That said, many insurance companies cover some or most of the cost of mental health care with an out-of-network provider. I provide a detailed invoice (“superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance carrier if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan and are determined solely by your insurer.
My practice is intentionally and proudly boutique, designed to provide focused, specialized treatment without the restrictions or documentation requirements imposed by insurance companies. This allows me to work directly for my clients’ goals—not an insurance company’s policies.
